In case many dont know im gonna mention some misconceptions. I do travel in my VW Van and have for years. I started in 2013 traveling in a RV "A class" and started doing glass again in it following 10yrs off. I had already did long traveling like from Canada to middle of Mexico Vanlife style way prior to IG so wanted something new. I had a VW Van prior in fact 3 all 1970 throughout years, but decided to do the RV thing instead so i can bring my cats. Was sold on the idea to travel and do glass ONLY if i can bring my cats. In 2015 on the way to Alaska my "A class" RV had been hit by a guy texting and left it unusable. I then bought a "C class" RV to try that and still work in it. For 2 years did glass everywhere from Canada, Mexico, Zion National park, and even returned to Slab City for a few months.
The change back to a VW Van was when i intended to start a yearly pilgrimage from St. Pete FL in winters to Santa Cruz in summers, collabing along the way. In Santa Cruz it is impossible to street park a RV! Same with San Francisco and places like NYC when i tried to work there. Sooooo went back to a VW Van. Traveling with the cats was fine because we spent a large amount of time outside and they actually love to roam without running away. The big problem was realized was when my schedule fell behind or break downs got in the way or during heat waves, van does not have AC and is not cat friendly outside of ideal temps above 90. Was not appropriate and have left them in Florida now 2 out of last 4 departures due to crazy heat waves. Sooooooo a friend in Santa Cruz has a Woodie and id always be amazed at the Woodies On The Warf event that happens every year here in Santa Cruz. Long story short cuz im just blabbing as i wait for my Oxygen to show up but another friend has a unique cuz retrofitted Blue Bird Bus edited like a Woodie. We got to talking and now most likely go BACK to a bus so to return to road WITH my cats Nala and Lily,as they are already 11 and want the most time with them as i will not replace with another pet. haha I will see it Sunday to see if it will be up to the task for blowing glass in and outside of it for events as well as mini meetups. Love to have IG buddies and glassblowing collab friends be able to travel with during more exciting areas of the country. So AFTER that time im in no way prepared for my cats leaving, i will then return to the Westy. Whatcha ya think of the idea of members being able to jump aboard? Take lil lesson and see what life on the road is like? :) i added a couple pics of the custom Bus below as well as a pic from my awesome friend Korinne sent me of Nala as she sits in Florida. Her and Lily are the sole reason for changing to a bus while also having a new experience as ive already did other RV classes. :)

Cat people are the best kind of people! Any animal people, really. That bus in the last shot is SO RAD! I hope everything comes together so you can spend more time with your kitties 😸
