Smith River

Updated: Sep 10, 2020

“And then there is the most dangerous risk of all -- the risk of spending your life not doing what you want on the bet you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later.” - forgot who I read said this

My all - time fav Monday’s don’t have to suck quote. Not like I didn’t do what I wanted prior to IG, but directed to fulltime travel tho for me. :)

After a month of zig zagging Cali to avoid virus or seeking kiln space to work, finally headed North. Uncertainty everywhere. From shipping raw materials to glass. A girl in town in SC hasn’t even got her tee 5days later and I was in the same town. My studio will be assembled (display window to showcase le glasse) haha by my buddie in Santa Cruz as I traverse East to do drops after a time in the PNW.

Also accomplished sorting a Mexico chapter with a soon to be announced new glass gallery and separate studio, bringing boro functional art to South America. (TBA)

We sorted a long time coming rolling out of custom Dichro work with new partnership/sponsor DC of LA. Next year will feature one Dichro Kraken per drop of its own unique color scheme. Will be traveling along with also to demo competition this May in Ireland, to blow glass in a Castle! Haha fucking thought I’d seen it all. Now that I’m getting closer to getting caught back up on glass (booked thru 22, more on schedule) I will soon have more details of May. :)

Oh about this picture? This is along a route on Hwy199 from Nor Cal Coast to Grants Pass border. Literally one of the most rad drives even tho I’ve did it hundred times. On a hot day just dip in the Smith river that snakes through the mountains. I will screenshot and add to this pic the location. Great drive for a BMW and a lady by your side or a Van that squeeks at each turn.
