"You know of any good boondocking areas around here?" Asked Karolin from Germany travelin with her husband for the summer in a rented RV America C-class as I sit here in Loveland, Co. I was parked near a truck stop debating to do a "14er" (Aka 14k foot summit hike) As I proceeded to show a rest stop on a map I replied "Nope you need to go to southern Utah or South West for the best boondockin'" Just then Nala pops out the door as usual so I wrap up convo to let cats have downtime when I realize she's out like a restless romantic follower of Kerouac. After an 8hr search with no cell service scrambling a 1mile radius through rocks, bushes and altitude climbs... at dusk Nala presented herself for dinner. haha For most of us that live at sea level normally, this search felt like climbing Pikes Peak. haha Friends Karoline and John decided to hangout as I made dinner before for their help b4 heading to Utah.
