Day 903 "Workamping" - A vagabond lifestyle living in a RV working.
November 6, 2015
When I left and sold what didn't fit in RV 900 days ago from Santa Cruz people first asked how I was going to do it. I told them I'm going to blow glass, no not retired or doing anything just for the season. I never driven one before or knew anything about how but packed up left 3days later to be 1 of 500k that live fulltime in a RV. My packslist was minimal, only essentials for cooking and working under the stars at night. The romance of #rvlife is work. Yesterday I finally realized something... no longer are essentials allowing me to progress my level of glass art. I've out grew my torch and kiln (which was sized and amped for RV) by not being able to complete a piece. Sustainability as addicting as it is finally learning how to logistically do it...I'm faced with traveling where I can use a "bigger" torch I ordered and bigger kiln in a studio which pushes me away from working fulltime "in" RV. It will be fun as @malaqiuasglass joins me for 2months for the experience. Soo jus gonna go with the flow but was just an interesting feeling of "needing" to be rooted down to a place to "work" (still will keep mobile version)... here is a downsized version of what I was trying to make that my torch couldn't melt that brought up the idea. haha Seahorse Rig 🌊
