Day 1274 "It's ok to live a life others don't understand."
November 1, 2016
John Muir a true vagabonder and founder of Sierra Club once said most are "Time-poor". The average person who is so obsessed with material wealth and social status they can't even enjoy the simplicity of time in the wild. Vagabonding isn't a lifestyle Rolf Potts once said somewhere in a blog, "It's a outlook on life." Its not that I really want to drive my car to Maine, it's more of a ongoing practice to learn. I want to put a book that inspires to a general artist and some might not like RVing. So I would like to include a chapter about how I will traverse the country for a 3rd winter only using couchsurfing, Airbnb, friends from online. Work will be based around studios ive worked at on prior walkabouts east. The new uncertainties to try something new is what it's all about. Today I spent organizing my trunk to accommodate a backpack, glass (raw), and my torch. Maine here I come! MANY ask why don't you just fly? Because Paul Theroux once said "planes are simply a mode of transit from A to B". The cities im passing thru are below, if around and got a spare couch or know of any kool a$$ spots drop me a email. :)
